The Commission on Deaconess service of The United Methodist Church will conduct the National Deaconess Assembly on October 21-24, 2012 at the Spottswood Methodists Center in Kidapawan City.

The theme of the Assembly is “Deaconess Ministries for the Transformation of the World” (2013-1016).

The Issues that will be studied includes the following:
a. Climate Change & Environmental Justice/ Creation spirituality;
c. Human trafficking and Migration;
d. Economic crisis and Poverty.

The Deaconess Pension and Health Plan will also be discuss.and updates on the General Conference Legislations.

The Assembly will open with a Holy Communion celebrated by Bishop Leo a. Soriano, followed by the Keynote Address to be rendered by Ms. Emma a. Cantor Orate.

The assembly will also hear the President’s address by Ms. Dadice Cruz Manuel, and undergirded by  Bible Study Sessions to be led by Ms. Gladys P. Mangiduyos and Rev. Marlu Primero Scott.

A unique subject that will be discuss is the challenging question “Whereto Deaconesses!?”

Deaconess participants are reminded that the onsite registration is Php. 1,500.00..
